The space shuttle program was !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! over the weekend, and someone who worked on the project popped up. I thanked them , mentioning the lens correction on the Hubble as a highlight.
Well, here’s a short but sweet essay about that fix and the Hubble Deep Field image. It reads a little like Buzzfeed multi-page clickbait, but it’s written by an astrophysicist and designed to be an easy read, not a drag-you-through-a-slideshow nightmare, so it’s worthwhile.

Sad that we are nearing the end. Hopefully Webb is good when it actually launches (delayed again, this time due to COVID-19).
Wonder if another Hubble servicing mission would be possible using SpaceX’s stuff?
